Illustration Details:
Gwydeon is a dryad character painted for Elise Chidley’s fantasy world of Emberlyn (from the YA romantasy The Raven, the Wolf, and the Rose). Rather than your typical dryad, Gwydeon emerges from the tree wearing a Manchester City midriff and jeans. series. I sketched this in Paintstorm Studio and then did the painting in Rebelle Pro 8, taking advantage of the water physics for the watercolour background, and then the ordinary paint for the foreground. All custom made brushes.
