Illustration Details:
This was a private commission from an author who I’ve had the pleasure of working with before. This time she’d written a science fiction thriller featuring cryogenics and transhumanism. Sounds super interesting.
The author gave me a clear brief of what she hoped for the cover. I wanted believable poses, so I used Artpose Pro to mockup the figures, and I used that as reference for the concept sketch. I used various actor reference for the faces. I won’t tell you who, but maybe you can guess 🙂
For the back cover, the author just wanted a simple snow scene, which I loosely painted from photo reference.
