Art Description
This is my 4th year entering the MerMay challenge on Instagram.
The first time I drew a traditional mermaid, which I won’t even link to because it was that bad. The second year I wanted to do something a bit wacky, so I painted an Asian Koi style MerMan. The third year, I painted a Fat Mermaid. So you can see how things have been taking a ridiculous trajectory.
I’ve always found the idea of reverse mermaids hilarious, and I’ve also always wanted to paint a crustacean/crab merman, so I decided to tackle that for this year’s entry.
